ATB Survey


State Services for the Blind (SSB) posts a new report every six months when it is available. The intent is to help customers make an informed choice when selecting Adjustment to Blindness (ATB) vendors and to help ATB vendors make changes to improve their services.

Surveying began in April 2006 and continues on a yearly basis. The Strategic Research Group (SRG), an independent and impartial survey company, interviews ATB customers receiving services from Community Rehabilitation Programs (CRPs) and individual vendors six months after receiving them, or at closure, whichever comes first. The interviews are done over the phone during the daytime and evening hours and on weekends.

Numerical data is posted on ATB providers for whom at least 5 survey responses were completed and for whom there was a 70 percent response rate. SSB may be contacted for a print copy or an alternative format; call toll-free 1-800-652-9000.
