DEED Capital Budget Request
DEED's 2010 capital budget request aims to create jobs by investing in Minnesota communities. When we invest in our communities, we help them build the foundation that will attract additional business development.
Together with the Public Facilities Authority (PFA), DEED is seeking $90 million in capital budget requests for 2010. Of the total,:
- $15 million is requested for DEED's Redevelopment Grant Program
- $25 million is requested for DEED's Business Development Public Infrastructure Program
- And $50 million is requested for the PFA's Clean Water and Drinking Water revolving funds and its Wastewater Infrastructure fund.
The bonding request will enable DEED and the PFA to help communities modernize their drinking water and clean water systems, redevelop land for productive use, and build the public infrastructure needed to support new economic development.
