Disability Mentoring Day

Minnesota Disability Mentoring Day recruits Minnesota educators, employers, service providers and other community partners to create a regional event that brings together high school and college students to learn about career options, build job seeking skills, and begin networking for the future.

Disability Mentoring Day, sponsored by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD), began 10 years ago and has expanded to include over twenty thousand youth with disabilities attending events in more than 300 locations in every U.S. state and territory, and in more than 24 countries worldwide.

Disability Mentoring Day launched its first event in the Twin Cities Metro Area and has since expanded to hold events in the Arrowhead Region and in Wright County.
