Workforce Investment Act Policies

Workforce development system service providers rely on the Department of Employment and Economic Development's (DEED) workforce development policies to ensure that their services comply with federal and state laws and rules and with DEED requirements. DEED's workforce development policies and guidance are also an important means for implementing department and program priorities and providing assistance on how service providers can meet program requirements.

WIA Policies are draft and final directive and procedures for the Workforce Investment Act programs and for State-funded programs. 

Draft policies are placed on this website for a specified period of time asking for review and comment. Feedback is reviewed and final policies are issued. Policies are updated on an ongoing basis.
