Overview of Services

Our programs and services are designed to help small businesses and research facilities work together to qualify for federal funding, primarily through the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program.

The Science and Technology Authority provides confidential, one-on-one assistance to help you take advantage of the two federal programs. We help you:

• Target the appropriate federal agencies.
• Develop strategies.
• Put together a quality research team.
• Find scientific and technical resources.
• Develop and review Phase I and II proposals and budgets.
  

We also build partnerships between business, academic research institutions, and government to pursue federal funding for joint research and development projects with a focus on medical-defense and renewable/clean energy initiatives.
