Brainerd Lakes
Located on the Mississippi River near the geographic center of Minnesota, the historic railroad town of Brainerd is the heart of the Brainerd lakes area, a regional economic, governmental, and transportation hub that includes a modern health services system and Central Lakes College.
The area is best known as Minnesota's recreational playground. Scores of pristine lakes are scattered throughout the region, with abundant golf courses and hundreds of resorts and campgrounds are scattered in between.
