STEM Expo for Parents and Students

The North Minneapolis STEM Expo is an excellent opportunity for middle school and high school students and their families to explore a wide range of exciting careers in science, technology, engineering and math - or STEM.

The expo is offered free of charge and includes fun, hands-on activities and demonstrations. 

The evening event casts a spotlight on some interesting and fast-growing STEM career opportunities and helps parents and students understand the educational course work required for a variety of STEM careers.

Event Highlights
Students, parents and family members will have the opportunity to:

  • Build their own website
  • Travel through space in the Exploradome
  • Ride in a hovercraft
  • Discover robotics and see demonstrations from the LEGO League and 3M Traveling Wizards
  • Explore extra-curricular STEM activities at their schools and in their communities
  • Learn what it takes to prepare for life after high school
  • Meet and chat with advisers about how to prepare for an interesting and well-paying STEM career
