Annual Export Totals 2011
Minnesota's exports totaled $31.2 billion in 2011, up $200 million from the previous year. Total exports include manufacturing, services and agricultural industries.
Fourth Quarter 2011
Minnesota's total exports grew to $5.1 billion in the fourth quarter, an increase of 1.4 percent over the prior year. Manufactured exports were up almost 3 percent to $4.7 billion during the period.
Third Quarter 2011
Minnesota's total exports reached $5.1 billion in the third quarter, an increase of 4 percent over the previous year. For the manufacturing sector alone, the state's exports were up almost 5 percent to $4.6 billion.
Second Quarter 2011
Minnesota's exports reached a record $5.3 billion in the second quarter. For the manufacturing sector alone, Minnesota manufactured exports were up 10 percent to $4.7 billion in the second quarter of 2011, while U.S. manufactured exports increased 15 percent.
First Quarter 2011
Minnesota's exports reached a record $4.8 billion in the first quarter, up 13 percent from the previous year. The figure includes both manufactured exports and foreign sales from non-manufacturing industries such as agriculture and mining. Exports of services are not included in the total.
