John Berglund
John Berglund is the unemployment insurance (UI) financing specialist in the Labor Market Information Office of the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development. He is a labor market information generalist, but specializes in social insurance, primarily unemployment insurance issues and legislation. He has served as the unofficial UI actuary since the 1980s. John has a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Minnesota, and has worked for every governor since Harold Levander. A Vietnam veteran, John is originally from Virginia, Minnesota. john.berglund@state.mn.us
