On a seasonally adjusted basis the CPI-U rose 0.1 percent from February. The March CPI-U increased 2.3 percent from March 2009. The index for energy was unchanged from February. The food index rose 0.2 percent from February. The March index for all items less food and energy was unchanged from February.
