Brownfield Grant Workshops
Our next Brownfield workshop will be Thursday, February 24, from 8 a.m. to noon at the North St. Paul City Hall Training Room, 2400 Margaret St., 55109.

Some parking spaces will be available in the city lot next to City Hall. Public parking is also available across the street and at Margaret and Seppala streets.

What You'll Learn
This informational session provides an overview of programs that help local government with the cost of cleaning up contaminated land. Grant funds, reimbursement funds and loans are available to investigate or clean up contaminants. 

State and federal funds are available for investigation and cleanup activities at sites with:

  • Agricultural chemicals
  • Asbestos and hazardous materials
  • Dry cleaner chemicals
  • Petroleum contamination
  • Groundwater contamination
  • Soil contamination

Agency representatives will discuss programs and funds available from:

  • MN Department of Employment and Economic Development
  • Metropolitan Council
  • Hennepin County
  • Ramsey County
  • MN Pollution Control Agency
  • MN Department of Commerce
  • MN Department of Agriculture
  • MN Department of Health

To Attend
No advanced registration or fee is required to attend. Materials will be provided.

Upcoming Grant Application  Deadline
The next application deadline for DEED, Metropolitan Council, Hennepin County and Ramsey County is May 2, 2011.

Eligible applicants include cities, port authorities, housing and redevelopment authorities, economic development authorities or counties. Complete an application and submit it to the program for consideration.
