Adjustment to Blindness



Adjustment to Blindness Training refers to the various training opportunities which teach an individual with a vision loss the skills necessary to work competitively and live independently.  Training includes learning to travel independently (Orientation and Mobility instruction), developing effective methods for recording and retrieving information using Braille and/or a computer with screen enlargement or speech output, performing all activities of daily living required to live and work independently and participating in a variety of activities which increase the individual’s confidence in their ability to attain their goals.
