Information for Teenagers
The teenage years are filled with changes, questions and decisions about the future. They can be daunting times for anyone growing into adulthood.
But teens who are blind, deaf-blind or visually impaired often face unique circumstances and added challenges, most of which can be overcome with the right guidance, planning and training.
The early teen years are a good time to begin your relationship with SSB. In fact, we encourage students or their parents to apply for services with us on or after their 14th birthday.
The application process is simple. One form, several easy questions. It is accessible and can be sent in various formats
You've got questions about school, about living independently, about college, about careers and work life. We've got answers and plenty of expertise to guide you as you begin thinking about your future.
