State Rehabilitation Council

Would you like to be a part of the Council?

We’re doing something about employment  for people with disabilities!
The Minnesota State Rehabilitation Council invites your application for membership.

Who can be appointed?
Any Minnesotan is eligible for membership.  Appointments are made by the Governor based on considerations that include personal qualifications for service and the Council’s need for statewide representation.  The Council's membership must always include representation of persons with disabilities, former or current consumers of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, community rehabilitation programs, Vocational Rehabilitation Services counselors, parents, advocates, business, industry, labor, and members of traditionally under-served populations.  Approximately five appointments are made annually.  Appointments are made for terms of three years.

When does the Council meet?
The Council meets ten times annually on the fourth Wednesday of the month, usually in the Saint Paul area, from 9:00 to 3:00.
