PROGRAMS & SERVICES FOR JOB SEEKERS

Description: We provide books, newspapers, magazines and other printed materials in alternate formats for people who are blind, visually impaired, DeafBlind or who have other disabilities that make it difficult for them to read.

Description: Our Dislocated Worker Program can provide services to help find a new job to eligible workers facing a layoff through no fault of their own.

Description: Through our Displaced Homemaker Program, we help people who have worked mainly in the home develop the marketable skills you'll need to find and maintain a job.

Description: The Minnesota Federal Bonding Service provides individual Fidelity Bonds to employers for new or current employees who may be denied coverage by commercial carriers. 

Description: Whether the job is on or off the farm, our Migrant and Seasonal Farmworker Program can help farm workers and the employers who hire them.  

Description: MinnesotaWorks.net is our searchable online jobs database. View thousands of job listings from private employers statewide. With MinnesotaWorks.net, you can also upload your resume,  apply for jobs online, manage and track your job search efforts, and sign up for email notification of new job listings.

Description: Through the Minnesota Youth Program, we provide short-term employment and training services to low-income and at-risk youth ages 14 to 21 in all 87 counties.

Description: For people age 45 or older our Project Gate II program offers training in the fundamentals of starting and managing a small business.

Description: Radio Talking Book is a free, closed-circuit news and information service that broadcasts 24 hours a day, seven days a week to thousands of subscribers throughout Minnesota and the nation.

Description: Employment and career services. Training and technology. Braille, radio, talking books and news. All to help people who are blind and visually impaired live and work as independently as possible.

Description: Through our Senior Community Service Program, we help people age 55 and older who meet eligibility guidelines get the on-the-job training and current work experience they need through paid community service assignments.

Description: Ticket to Work is a Social Security program. The goal of the program is to assist people receiving Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI) or Supplemental Security Income (SSI) benefits based on disability obtain employment and earn enough money to end the need for cash benefits.

Description: The Trade Adjustment Assistance (TAA) Program can provide services to eligible workers who have lost their job or had hours cutback due to federal trade policy.

Description: The Unemployment Insurance Program provides temporary financial help to people who have lost their jobs or had their work hours greatly reduced through no fault of their own.

Description: Minnesota's nationally recognized Transition Assistance Program workshops helps veterans make informed choices about education and employment and makes their transition back into work and home life smoother, more predictable, and more productive.

Description: Our Minnesota Veterans Licensure and Certification Program helps veterans convert vocational and technical skills they learned in the military into civilian credentials in a variety of occupations

Description: Our WorkForce Centers help job seekers find employment, help businesses find workers, and help anyone at any stage explore and plan careers.

Description: The Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Youth Formula Grant provides economically disadvantaged teenagers and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21 with year-round employment and training services.

Description: The Youthbuild program provides specialized training for youth and young adults between the ages of 16 and 24 who are at risk of not completing or have not completed their high school education. Participants are trained in construction and other fields in the building trades, basic academic skills, and leadership.
