For Workers Facing a Layoff


The Dislocated Worker Program (DWP) is an employment and training program to help workers who have been laid off through no fault of their own find new jobs as quickly as possible. 

The program offers financial support for full- and part-time training to eligible participants. Other services include vocational counseling, career and job seeking workshops, mileage reimbursement, and other support services in emergency situations.

The Dislocated  Worker Program of Anoka County is recruiting people who need financial assistance to return to school. You MUST be a dislocated worker to qualify. If you were laid off from your last full-time permanent job (where you worked at least 12 months) due to economic reasons AND are eligible for OR have exhausted unemployment benefits in the last 6 months, you MAY be a dislocated worker.
