For Workers Facing a Layoff

The Dislocated Worker Program is an employment and training program to help workers who have been laid off (or notified that a lay-off is pending) through no fault of their own find new jobs as quickly as possible.

The program offers assessment and planning services, training, support services and job-search assistance to those who qualify.

You may apply for Dislocated Worker Program services at this WorkForce Center.

To begin the process, select this link to download and print our eligibility questionnaire. Complete the questionnaire and bring it our reception desk or mail it to the following address:

  • Minnesota WorkForce Center - Hennepin South
4220 West Old Shakopee Road, Suite 100
    Bloomington, MN 55437

Applicants who appear to qualify for the program will be invited to an orientation session to receive more information. Once initial assessments are done and a final eligibility review is complete, participants will be contacted by a counselor from a service-providing agency.
