MJSP Grant Funds Training for Greater Minnesota Ford Dealership Employees
|
ST. PAUL – The state Department of Employment and Economic Development’s Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program (MJSP) announced a $41,303 grant to support training for 32 employees of C & M Ford, located in Hallock, and Roseau County Ford, located in Roseau. The two-year training collaboration includes MJSP, C & M Ford, Roseau County Ford and Northland Community and Technical College (NCTC).
C & M Ford and Roseau County Ford are the only Ford dealerships in their geographic areas, and C & M Ford is the largest employer in Hallock.
The dealerships and NCTC will collaborate to provide lean training, strategic business planning facilitation, quality improvement metrics identification and leadership performance coaching. Training will be customized for employees at each dealership.
“These two Greater Minnesota Ford dealerships are taking proactive steps to make their business processes more effective and efficient,” said DEED Commissioner and MJSP Board Chair Dan McElroy. “In addition, Northland Community and Technical College will develop relevant automotive industry experience and expand business coaching services aggressively.”
For more information on the grant, contact Connie Troska, Northland Community and Technical College, 651-686-8738, or e-mail Connie.Troska@northlandcollege.edu.
