DEED is pleased to announce the 2008 Small Cities Development Program (SCDP) awards.
Application Process
2008 was the second year staff implemented a revised application format, incorporating a two-step process. The first step being a pre-application, with a primary focus on:
• A strong degree of readiness, need and impact;
• The administrative capacity to implement the activity(s) stated;
• The ability to complete the activities within the funding agreement term of 30 months;
• Whether the application included more than one community.
Applications Funded
DEED received eighty-four (84) Pre-applications requesting over $55.6 million. Staff requested the submission of fifty-two (52) full applications, totaling approximately $35.7 million.
For 2008, DEED is funding forty (40) application requests totaling $17,594,386.
