Staff in the Office of JOBZ and Business Finance are economic development specialists who work to create jobs and help small businesses grow in Minnesota. They deliver financial programs such as the Minnesota Investment Fund and the Job Opportunity Building Zone program that provide low-interest loans and tax incentives to businesses and local communities.
DEED's Regional Marketing Representatives are economic development specialists who work closely with companies to locate and expand in communities throughout Minnesota. They assist businesses with site selection, community profiles, E-commerce Readiness, and other technical and financial services of the department.
Regional JOBZ Administrators serve as a liaison between the Department of Employment and Economic Development and the businesses and local communities that participate in the Job Opportunity Building Zone program. They provide technical assistance and oversee the regional administration of the JOBZ program.
