Losing a job unexpectedly or, if you are an employer, facing the prospect of laying off employees can be stressful and unpleasant. Minnesota's Dislocated Worker Program provides quality services to employers and employees alike across all 87 Minnesota counties. Whether you are a worker, an employer, or a service provider who serves dislocated workers, basic information on programs and program services are provided below.

Fact sheets (available in English and 17 other languages), links to unemployment insurance information, dislocated worker service providers, and other useful information is available in this section for workers affected by a layoff or pending layoff. If you believe that foreign competition has been a factor in your being laid off, you may be eligible for additional benefits under the Trade Adjustment Act. |
