Minnesota Inventory of Publicly-Funded Workforce Development Programs
The inventory's purpose was to provide a source of information about publicly funded workforce development programs in Minnesota. The Governor's Workforce Development Council (GWDC) commissioned this 2002 update to the Minnesota Inventory of Employment and Training Programs, first issued in 1999. State legislation passed in 1999 called for the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) commissioner, in consultation with the GWDC, to collect and compile specific information about employment and training programs.
The inventory contributes to efforts to examine and improve the state's workforce development system. This report is not intended to make recommendations about the programs, but to serve as a source of information.
