POCKET TALKER

The Pocket Talker allows an individual to communicate with a person who is hard of hearing.  A small microphone picks up speech, which is amplified and sent to a hearing aid-compatible earphone. It amplifies sounds and voices in your immediate environment when you direct the microphone toward the sounds you wish to hear. Pocket Talker can be used by individuals who have hearing impairments to communicate with other individuals or for listening to TV, radio, etc.

How it works: Using the Pocket Talker, a person positions the ear piece and places the microphone next to the desired sound, as close as possible to eliminate or decrease background. Adapters are available for hearing aids, telephone and television hookup.

Who will benefit?  Individuals who are hard-of-hearing.
