Is a free Internet-based self-service system to match employers and job seekers. Job seekers can post resumes, search for job openings, contact employers, and apply on-line. Employers can post job openings and search for job candidates.

Small Business Assistance Office

Serves as a point of first and continuing contact for individuals and firms with questions about the start-up, operation or expansion of a business in Minnesota.
Small Business Development Centers

Provides consultation and resources to small business owners looking for ways to expand or start a business.
Unemployment Insurance (UI)

Provides temporary benefits to qualified persons out of work through no fault of their own and helps maintain the economic stability within a community by safeguarding the income and purchasing power of the unemployed worker.

    Gives UI applicants the ability to file online for UI benefits.
  • Employer Self-Service System

    Gives employers access to, and control of, their own UI accounts, and provides them with information about unemployment benefit requests filed by former employees that may affect their unemployment account and/or tax rate.

DEED is also a partner and participant in the project. North Star is a single point of entry on the World Wide Web for citizens, businesses and visitors for accessing an extensive array of information and services in Minnesota.
