Strict gaming regulations placed on casinos require a more formalized training program that does not currently exist in Minnesota. This partnership will create a Gaming Security Academy to empower and educate 77 security division employees focusing on three main areas: Security & Protection, Investigation & Enforcement, and Documentation & Supervision. Successful completion of training will result in wage advancement for security employees and help in job retention. Curriculum gained from this project will be used to create coursework offerings in security, which will build upon the college’s existing Law Enforcement Program.
