Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program - Annual Program Summary
Purpose
This program helps business and education develop cooperative training projects. The Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Board awards grants to educational institutions that partner with businesses to develop new-job training or retraining for existing employees.
Customers and Services
Accredited Minnesota public and/or private educational institutions are eligible, with preference given to nonprofit institutions serving economically disadvantaged people, minorities, or victims of economic dislocation; and to businesses located in rural areas. Funds may be used for training-related costs or educational infrastructure improvements necessary to support businesses located or intending to locate in Minnesota.

Funding Source and Allocation
The program allocation is $6.8M per year from state general funds, plus workforce development funds if available.
