Workforce Investment Act

This website is designed to provide interested parties with information on the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) of 1998 in Minnesota. The purpose of WIA is "to consolidate, coordinate, and improve employment, training, literacy, and vocational rehabilitation programs in the United States, and for other purposes." WIA provides the framework for a unique national workforce preparation and employment system designed to meet both the needs of the nation's businesses and the needs of job seekers and those who want to further their careers.
